Privacy Notice
Last updated: 22 October 2026
Who is responsible for your information?
RetheRealm is the creative website and free email community of Patience Walter Andem, known professionally as Ret Qut, based in the United Kingdom. Ret Qut is responsible for the personal information described in this notice.
For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
What information is used?
When you join the Realm, you provide your email address and may choose Music, Mystic Being or Both as your interests. Brevo also processes subscription and confirmation records, dates, technical information such as IP addresses, and email delivery records. Depending on email settings, it may record opens and link clicks.
If you email us, we receive your address, the contents of your message and any information you choose to include. Website and security providers may process IP addresses, browser information and request logs to deliver and protect the service.
Why is it used?
Your consent is the basis for sending the music, writing and creative updates you subscribe to and tailoring them to your selected interests. Joining is voluntary. Your email address is needed to deliver updates; selecting an interest is optional. You can browse the website without subscribing.
We rely on legitimate interests to answer enquiries, operate and protect the website, prevent misuse, maintain subscription records and understand whether emails are being delivered. These interests are running the creative community and communicating safely with people who contact us.
The community uses email confirmation to check that you control the address submitted. Interest choices help select relevant content; they are not used to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Your choice about emails
You can withdraw consent or object to direct marketing at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in an update email, or contact [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. You can also contact us to change your interests.
Services that process information
Brevo hosts the signup form, manages the community list and sends emails. Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and forwards messages sent to our domain email address. Google provides the receiving Gmail inbox, the fonts used on this website, and the reCAPTCHA check on the signup form. These services receive information needed to carry out their roles.
Information is not sold or rented. It may also be disclosed where necessary to meet a legal obligation or protect legal rights.
These providers operate internationally, so processing may take place outside the UK. Their applicable data-processing terms set out international-transfer arrangements, including adequacy arrangements and contractual safeguards where applicable. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
Read the providers’ information: Brevo privacy policy, Cloudflare privacy policy and Google privacy policy.
How long is information kept?
Subscriber information is kept while you remain subscribed and the email community operates. After you unsubscribe, a minimal suppression record may remain so that we can respect your choice and avoid sending further marketing. Consent and delivery records are retained only as needed to demonstrate subscription history, investigate delivery issues or resolve disputes.
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and related follow-up or legal obligations. Technical logs and service backups follow the relevant provider’s retention arrangements. Retention depends on the purpose, whether the information is still needed, your requests and applicable legal obligations.
Cookies and external services
The website’s own code does not add advertising trackers or analytics scripts. It loads Google Fonts, which involves a connection to Google. The separate Brevo signup page uses Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent automated abuse; these services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.
Links to music, social platforms and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and you can always object to direct marketing. Contact [email protected] to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, by telephone on 0303 123 1113, or at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF. You can contact us first if you would like us to try to resolve a concern.
Changes to this notice
This notice describes the website and free email community. If the way information is used changes, this page will be updated. New purposes requiring consent will be presented separately.
